KIKI BIANCA TAN

Kiki was born in Colorado on a pair of downhill skis- that adventurous streak led her to Thailand as a language teacher and California as a tennis coach, before she landed in Singapore to teach yoga. Kiki brings a multitude of experience to every class she teaches, as well as to the teachers, mentors, & athletes she coaches.

As a student of Sports Medicine, Kiki has a unique perspective on biomechanics and injury rehabilitation when it comes to asana practice. She has continued to study how the body responds to stress, with 10 years of teaching hot yoga practices that challenge mental stamina as well as physical fitness. Through guided, awareness based meditation techniques Kiki has found ways to move beyond the concept that sitting still brings enlightenment- and she doesn’t pretend that yoga has all the answers. She believes that yoga gives us powerful access to our own authenticity, to knowing ourselves better and that you can find that power yourself without going down a rabbit hole.

Kiki is well known for her ability to lead a multi-level group practice and her insights come from a dedicated personal exploration of yoga and body movement. What began as a way to offset bumpy overland travels around SE Asia has grown into a true passion for finding new ways to share the practice of asana, mediation and inquiry. Kiki teaches with a light-hearted and realistic approach, embracing the challenging aspects with compassion and curiosity. Be less interested in doing it the right way and allow your vitality to flow freely, any way you can.
